Information You Should Know:

  • Classes begin promptly at 7:40 a.m. Please make every effort to ensure that your child is on time for school each day.

  • To assist us with a smooth dismissal, if you are picking your child up from school, please be in front of the school at 2:20. Please wait in your car and your child will come to you. There will be teachers in the front of the school to assist getting the children to their cars. Please do not drive to the back of the school where the buses are.

Important Information for Car Riders

If your child will be a car rider this year please note the following guidelines that will assist us in keeping our students safe.
  1. All car riders, both in the morning and afternoon, MUST be dropped off in front of the school. Under no circumstances will a student be allowed to be picked up or dropped off in the back of the school where the buses are.
  2. Please do not drop your child off before 7:10 am. There will be no supervision for students before that time.
  3. When you are dropping your child off, please pull all the way to the end of the covered sidewalk. This will allow several cars to drop students off at the same time. Also, do not drop students off in the left hand pull-through lane. This creates a dangerous situation.

4. When you are picking your child up, please pull to the end of the covered sidewalk. This will allow several cars to pick up students at the same time. As cars in front of you leave, please pull forward to fill in the spaces. Students cannot be picked up from the left hand pull-through lane. You will be asked to pull around and park if you attempt to pick up a student in that lane.

5. Students are not allowed to cross the traffic lanes to go to the parking lot. If you drop off or pick up your child in the parking lot, you will have to walk your child across both lanes of traffic onto the sidewalk.

Papa John's Pizza Night

Picture
The 1st Thursday of each month will be Papa John's Pizza Night for Memorial Drive Elementary School. When a parent, teacher, friend, or relative calls an order in to Papa John's, and tells the order taker "This is a school night order," Papa John's will give 20% of that order right back to your school. At the end of the evening, the class with the most money raised will win a FREE PIZZA PARTY! Please remember that your School Night must raise at least $40 in order for your school to be eligible for the free party, so suggest to neighbors and relatives that they make the 1st Thursday their night for pizza. In addition to everything else, the school generating the most sales in one night and the one with the most sales for the school year each earn an additional $250 from Papa John's at year end. Papa John's phone number is 283-7766.
